How To Buy: Lumens Cutsheet: Lotus LL4R Dimmer Recommended By Manufacturer: Lutron Diva DVCL-253P Color Rendering: 90+ (never buy LEDs that have a score less than 90). A score of 80 is actually worse than fluorescent lighting. Color Temperature: Choose 2700K or 3000K (I don't recommend 3500K lights for residential projects). Lumens: 750 Wattage: 10.2 Power Supply/Driver: Driver included with the light and housed within IC rated box. No separate light fixture housing required. Indoor/Outdoor: Approved for exterior applications (wet and damp environments, where the light is recessed into a soffit or eave of a roof, and isn't be submerged in water).
Tips for Using This Light on Your Project | BEST VALUE EXTERIOR RECESSED DOWNLIGHT:
Dimming:
All dimmers are not created equal. Flickering and buzzing can often be traced back to using a dimmer that isn’t compatible with the LED, or to connecting too many LEDs to a single dimmer. Quality lighting manufacturers often publish literature on which dimmer lines can be used with their LED light fixture. This particular light manufacturer recommends a Triac dimmer (per their cutsheet). For my projects I like to use Triac dimmers from Lutron. It is always worthwhile budgeting for quality dimmers that are compatible with the LED you have chosen.
