Snapshot:
How To Buy: Lumens.com Cutsheet: WAC Balance Single LED Path Light 6061 Color Rendering: 90+ (never buy LEDs that have a score less than 90). A score of 80 is actually worse than fluorescent lighting. Color Temperature: 2700K or 3000K are available. Lumens: 275 lumens per stake mounted light Wattage: 6.5 watts per stake mounted light. Power Supply/Driver: A remote power supply will need to be purchased separately to provide low voltage power to the lights. For my projects, I like to use this waterproof driver. I like to ask the electrician for their recommendation on where to locate the driver, since there are limitations on how far away it can be from the lights. Indoor/Outdoor: Approved for outdoor (wet) locations where the lights won't be submerged in water. Installation: Pathway lighting affords a lot of flexibility in moving the lighting around after the fact. I recommend leaving some slack in the low voltage wiring to accommodate future 'tweaking' of the lighting locations. Refer to the light fixture cutsheet for spacing recommendations and mounting information. Note: If your project is in a less secluded/safe neighborhood, then you may want to consider setting the lighting into concrete, in order to prevent theft of the fixtures. Saving Cost: A possible alternate strategy could be to consider more traditional pathway lighting.
